Breakell Racing: Notable Successes

Over the years, Breakell Racing have enjoyed great success across a wide range of championships, from one-make prototype and GT series, to multi-class endurance racing.

2023

The Lancashire squad have entered the inaugural season of the Ginetta GT Championship this year and earlier this year produced one of the most remarkable team performances in the history of Ginetta racing – securing a phenomenal clean sweep of seven outright victories from seven races during the special G Fest event at Silverstone.

2022

A second season in the BTCC-supporting Ginetta GT4 SuperCup resulted in a sensational  ‘G56 Am’ title victory for Wes Pearce, alongside a record-breaking moment where he became the only Am driver ever to win a race outright in the series.

The team also secured multiple pole positions and race wins in the Ginetta GT Academy with Leo Karavasili, while a return to the Radical Challenge Championship resulted in vice-champion honours for Noah Degnbol with multiple race wins to his name.

2021

Breakell Racing debuted in Ginetta competition in 2021 with entries into the Junior Championship, GT5 Challenge and GT4 SuperCup. Immediately establishing themselves as a competitive force in the BTCC and British GT support paddocks, they laid the foundation for the outstanding successes to follow since.

2020

One of the biggest successes in the team’s history came as they secured title glory in the Sports Protoype Cup. Running a pair of Revolution A-Ones, they took overall race wins at Brands Hatch, Spa-Francorchamps and the Algarve International Circuit to take a one-two championship finish with Alex Kapadia and Morten Dons.

2019 and prior

As part of the team’s long-standing tradition of running Radical SR3’s, they took the car to victory in the 750 Motor Club Birkett six-hour endurance race at Silverstone in 2019. They had previously finished second overall in the same race for three consecutive years prior.

Prior to that, the team had secured regular overall and class podium finishes with Radical’s in championships including the 750MC Bikesports Championship – which they were crowned champions in back in 2012 – the BRSCC OSS Series and the Radical Clubman Cup. Drivers included James Breakell, Adrian Reynard, Phil Knibb, Sean Peters, James Abbott, Robert Synge, and Charles Graham.

Having firmly established itself as a leading GT and prototype racing team across the UK and Europe, Breakell Racing are ready to continue their impressive growth as a team and enjoyed more standout results and title successes in years to come.
