Breakell Racing Set For Exciting 2025 Programme In New-Look Ginetta GT Championship

Former Ginetta champions Breakell Racing will return full-time to the Protyre Motorsport Ginetta GT Championship next season, running the new-for-2025 Ginetta G56 GTP8 car.

Breakell Racing have established themselves as a formidable force in the Ginetta paddock since making their debut with the manufacturer in 2021, having competed across the GT Championship, GT Academy, Juniors, GT5 Challenge and GT4 SuperCup so far.

The Lancashire-based team celebrated title glory in the GT4 SuperCup in 2022, securing the G56 Am crown with Wes Pearce. They followed that up with a brilliant performance in the inaugural season of the GT Championship, securing eleven overall race victories across the campaign.

Set for a full-time return to the championship next season with at least a two-car entry, Breakell Racing will aim to use their wealth of experience in GT4 competition to hit the ground running with the new Ginetta G56 GTP8.

Based on the G56 GT4 Evo, the GTP8-specification machine will be powered by a formidable 6.2-litre V8 engine, running at 400bhp. It features an Xtrac transaxle gearbox with pneumatic paddle shift, power-assisted steering and GT4 Evo-spec braking, suspension and exhaust systems.

James Breakell – Breakell Racing Team Principal: “We’ve had some fantastic years racing with Ginetta and we’re looking forward to being part of the action again in 2025 and beyond. The Ginetta G56 GTP8 looks like a fantastic car and should provide some great racing, so we can’t wait to get started with them.”
