Breakell Racing Enjoy Virtual Race Success With Archie Dunbar-Rees

After a fantastic 2021 race season on track, Breakell Racing have continued to enjoy racing success in recent weeks with young development driver Archie Dunbar-Rees making a name for himself in esports competition.

The 15 year old has been producing some standout performances in the competitive Britcar Endurance E-Series, racing a Breakell Racing branded Ginetta G55 GT4 – the virtual equivalent of the car that the team raced in the Ginetta GT4 SuperCup this season.

Dunbar-Rees enjoyed a stunning debut in the series at Silverstone as he stormed from through from over a minute behind at the back of the field to a class podium finish. He’s since gone on to sensationally convert pole position into a dominant maiden victory at Thruxton.

Some of the races contested so far can be watched back on Britcar’s YouTube channel.

Dunbar-Rees is an aspiring young driver who made his racing debut in the EnduroKA 12 Hours of Snetterton back in June. Throughout the 2021 season, he has been working with Breakell Racing during race weekends on car preparation.

The rising star has aspirations to compete in the Ginetta GT5 Challenge with Breakell Racing. The Lancashire team are aiming to support his efforts with their young driver programme, which they’ve put together to help talented young drivers gain sponsorship that would never normally have the opportunity to race.

“It’s fantastic to see Archie enjoying success in the esports competition and representing Breakell Racing in style in his liveried Ginetta G55 during the latest rounds of the Britcar Endurance E-Series.

“We’ve thoroughly enjoyed having Archie as part of the team this season and we’re proud to be supporting him in his efforts to get racing. Competing, and enjoying success, in esports is a great way for him to raise his profile and capture the attention of potential sponsors.”
